Tree removal

What makes tree felling easier to manage

Method to suit the site

Open ground may allow straight felling, while tight gardens need careful dismantling in sections.

Useful follow-on options

Keep timber, clear everything away or pair the job with stump grinding so the space is usable.

Clear pre-work planning

We assess lean, access and surrounding structures before work starts, so the method fits the garden.

When full removal is the sensible option

Some trees need more than a tidy-up. It may be obvious, like dieback, decay or a trunk that is simply in the wrong place, or it may just be a tree that has outgrown the space and keeps you working around it. The safe method depends on room. In open ground, straight felling may be possible. In tighter gardens, we dismantle the tree in sections so branches and stem pieces come down under control. With Treemendous Tree Services, the planning starts with the practical stuff: size, condition, lean, access, sheds, fences, greenhouses and any other factors that need to be considered.

Planned around access, clearance and what comes next

Before cutting begins, we assess the tree and set a working zone so the job stays organised from the first branch to the last bit of timber. Narrow gates, steep ground and nearby structures all affect how material is moved and what equipment makes sense. If you want logs kept, we can discuss that, and if you want the space fully opened up, Treemendous Tree Services can clear arisings away and follow with stump grinding.

Frequently asked questions

Will my tree be felled in one go or dismantled?

That depends on the space around it. If there is enough clear room and the tree is suitable, straight felling may be possible. In tighter gardens or near buildings, fences or sheds, we normally dismantle the tree in sections so each part comes down in a controlled way.

Can stump grinding be done after tree felling?

Yes. Many customers arrange stump grinding after removal when they want the ground back for turf, borders or replanting. We can talk through that at quote stage, along with whether you want timber kept or the whole area cleared as part of the same job.

What should we mention when asking for a quote?

Tell us roughly how tall the tree is, what condition it seems to be in, how easy it is to reach through the garden, and what sits nearby. Photos are useful as well. That gives us a far better starting point for discussing access, method and any follow-on stump work.
